The R-77M missile completely eliminates the gap in the strike power of the Russian Aerospace Forces from the American AIM-120D missiles of a similar class, the range of which, when launched at an echelon of 13,500 m, can reach 180 - 190 km.
The R-77M missile is represented by the aerodynamic configuration of a "lifting body" with a lifting wing with a small chord and flat tail aerodynamic rudders. Maximum speed - up to 4900 - 5100 km/h, estimated height of intercepted targets - up to 30000 m, maximum range - up to 190 km.
Initially, the R-77M was developed for Su-57 fighters, the ammunition is equipped with a homing head with an active phased array.
