Kalashnikov Assault Rifle Becomes "Flying": New Development by Russian Innovators

Engineers managed to install the AK-74 on a drone with a recoil compensation device during firing

Russian military forces have deployed a new drone equipped with a shortened Kalashnikov AKS-74U assault rifle. The innovation was used to destroy drones.

The device is based on a 10-inch quadcopter with a mount for the "Kalashnikov". The drone is designed to engage heavy hexacopters of the "Baba Yaga" type, which can carry bombs and mines.

Engineers managed to implement a solution that compensates for recoil during firing. Moreover, a drone with an assault rifle can be assembled in the field.

The drone with an assault rifle is also capable of engaging infantry and, when using armor-piercing cartridges, even lightly armored enemy vehicles.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec announced a significant superiority of Russian tanks over any foreign ones.
