«Квоты под киль»: правила передачи недостроенных судов-краболовов изменили в России

Conditions for completing vessels are now preserved upon termination of the agreement with the investor

The Russian government has improved the rules for building crab vessels under the investment quota mechanism. One of the key changes is that after the termination of the agreement with the previous investor, new companies will be able to continue completing the vessels under the same conditions.

Crab Processor Vessel Project KSP01 "Kildin"
The fishing shipbuilding industry is currently on the rise, including due to the deep modernization of production. The "quotas under keel" mechanism has relaunched the process of creating a Russian fishing fleet. The amendments adopted by the Russian government will allow us to respond quickly to changes in the situation and, in the event of shipbuilding companies or investors withdrawing from projects, to involve other participants without losing pace – for the successful and timely completion of the construction of new crab vessels.
Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia

The previously existing regulatory framework created serious obstacles to the completion of crab vessel construction. When agreements were terminated, difficulties arose in complying with current requirements for industrial products and concluding new investment agreements for the completion of vessels.

The new amendments will allow for a quick response to changes in the situation and the timely involvement of new participants when previous investors withdraw from projects. This should ensure the continuity of construction and maintain the high pace of development of the fishing industry.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the crab vessel "Kapitan Skovpen" successfully completed sea trials in the Gulf of Finland.
