Soyuz Rocket Assembled at Vostochny Cosmodrome in Preparation for Launch of New Ionosphere-M Satellites

Launch scheduled for July 25, with 20 spacecraft to be sent into orbit

The assembly of the Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket, which will put two Russian Ionosphere-M satellites No. 3 and No. 4, as well as 18 small spacecraft, into orbit, has been completed at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The rocket is scheduled to be installed on the launch complex on July 22, and the launch itself is scheduled for July 25 at 08:54 Moscow time.

The new satellites will double the spatial resolution of ionosphere observations of the Earth, improving the accuracy of space weather data. This is important for the stable operation of satellites, communication systems, and navigation systems, which are sensitive to ionospheric disturbances.
