The crew of the rescue vessel \"Igor Belousov\" (Project 21300 \"Dolphin\") of the Pacific Fleet assisted the conditionally damaged submarine \"Magadan\" (Project 971U \"Shchuka-B\"). The maneuvers took place in Peter the Great Bay in the Sea of Japan, the fleet's press service reported.
According to the exercise scenario, the diesel-electric submarine \"Magadan\", as a result of an emergency situation on board, landed on the seabed at a depth of about 80 m.
The vessel \"Igor Belousov\" moved to the submarine search area. Then the sailors used the uninhabited vehicle \"Panther\", which discovered \"Magadan\".
The submarine crew was supplied with air, technical fluids and electricity using the autonomous vehicle \"AS-40\". Then it docked to the coaming platform. The submariners boarded the autonomous vehicle and were taken to the rescue vessel.
An infirmary with medical equipment and a deep-sea diving complex GVK-450 \"Dolphin-GVK\" with five pressure chambers was set up there for them.
