Su-33, MiG-29K, and Su-30SM fighters intercepted a mock enemy aircraft over the Kola Peninsula

Pilots practiced complex aerobatics over the Barents Sea

Pilots of Su-33 and MiG-29K carrier-based fighters, as well as Su-30SM multirole fighters of the mixed aviation corps of the Northern Fleet, performed combat training flights over the Kola Peninsula and the Barents Sea, the fleet's press service reported.

The crews demonstrated elements of mock air combat in a complex electronic warfare environment and practiced complex aerobatics at various altitudes.

According to a pilot who participated in the maneuvers, flying over the sea is more difficult than over land. This is due to the lack of any orientation, and the sky merges with the water.

One of the carrier-based fighters played the role of a mock enemy. Using the combat capabilities of the aircraft, the pilots were guided to the target and intercepted the "enemy" aircraft.
