FSUE "Rosmorport" has announced a re-run of the electronic auction for the dock repair of the icebreaker "Avraamiy Zavenyagin", increasing the initial contract price from 23 to 28 million rubles. The first procurement attempt in June 2025 did not attract any participants, forcing the company to revise the terms.
According to the Unified Information System for Procurement, the contractor must complete the work within 45 calendar days. The repair will be carried out on a ship-lifting facility that matches the dimensions of the icebreaker: length - 76.52 m, dock weight - 2200 tons. "Avraamiy Zavenyagin" remains in the port of Arkhangelsk, awaiting restoration work.
The icebreaker of project 1191, built in 1984, is equipped with three engines with a capacity of 1,605 kW each. It is capable of overcoming ice up to 1 meter thick and is used in Arctic waters. The increase in repair costs may be due to the technical complexity of the work and the limited number of contractors specializing in vessels of this class.
