The Russian messenger Max has a new security monitoring system aimed at promptly responding to possible cyber incidents. This was reported by the messenger's press service.
The platform has implemented a security monitoring system developed by VK engineers. The solution contains more than 10 petabytes of data for cyber investigations, which increases the speed of response to possible incidents, providing proactive and preventive threat hunting.
The system is capable of analyzing more than 3 million events per second coming from the company's infrastructure, network devices, and applications.
Currently, VK SIEM processes more than 200 billion information security events per day. About 15% of them are from Max.
Dmitry Kukolev, Head of the Security Monitoring Center (SOC) VK, emphasized that the new system not only protects the current audience of the messenger but is also ready to scale to serve a larger number of users.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the domestic messenger Max began testing public channels.
