AVTOVAZ has published updated statistics on the size of its workforce. The Togliatti plant employs approximately 37,000 people, which is 4,500 more than three years ago.
The majority are directly involved in the production of cars and components — 28,000 employees. The average age of the staff is 45 years, and 65% of the employees are men.
For comparison: in 2001, the company's staff exceeded 124,000 people, meaning the current level is almost 3.5 times lower than historical highs.
In recent years, the company has been actively hiring workers, including employees from neighboring countries, to compensate for the shortage of personnel. Despite this, the total number has not increased significantly due to natural attrition and process optimization.
AVTOVAZ notes an increase in wages: in 2024, the average employee salary reached 96,680 rubles, which is 35% more compared to the previous year. The company is actively implementing social support programs: vacation packages, financial assistance, corporate events, and workplace modernization.
