Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Magnitogorsk, where his first stop was the MMK steel plant. This was reported by journalists.
The head of state was shown a ladle with 32 tons of coke heated to over 1000 degrees. The president also inspected the operation of Russia's most powerful coke battery. The head of state launched a machine-building production workshop. The president's program includes communication with the company's employees.
It is worth mentioning that MMK has become one of the largest steel producers in the world and a leader in ferrous metallurgy in Russia. The plant produces 20% of all metal products sold on the domestic market.
The enterprise operates on a full cycle, from the preparation of raw materials to the deep processing of metals. The plant is included in the list of systemically important organizations and participates in the implementation of the state defense order. It is included in the register of organizations of the military-industrial complex.
