Artificial intelligence has been implemented in the "Gosuslugi Biometrics" mobile application, which analyzes the video stream in real time and helps users correctly complete the biometric data registration procedure.
The AI assistant warns of insufficient lighting, foreign objects in the frame, corrects the position of the face and suggests the optimal angle for shooting. This speeds up biometric registration by 15–20%.
The Center for Biometric Technologies noted that almost 2 million Russians have already registered biometrics online, and taking into account offline registration, more than 6 million people. Biometrics are voluntary and serve as an additional way to receive public services and banking services.
