Russian military personnel have begun testing the latest long-range robotic platform "Strannik". The ground drone is designed to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield, remotely mine enemy positions, and deliver cargo to the front line.
The drone can travel from 15 to 30 km, depending on the battery capacity. For comparison: similar platforms can move with a repeater in conditions of operating electronic warfare equipment for a maximum of 1.5 km.
The key difference between "Strannik" and its analogues is satellite control. The operator can be located anywhere on the planet, all that is needed is a tablet or smartphone.
The weight of the complex is only 56 kg, it is difficult to hit it with a kamikaze drone due to its small size. The speed of "Strannik" is 20 km/h.
Earlier www1.ru reported that MiG-31 fighters used hypersonic "Kinzhal" missiles for the second time in three days.
