Makhonin explained that the main goal of the mooring tests is to check the quality, reliability and safety of the pier.

At the end of June, a new floating pier was launched on the Solikamsk embankment, near the Sol завод museum-reserve. It is intended for small and cruise passenger ships. This is the fifth pier of this type in the Kama region. Prior to that, modular structures appeared at the Perm River Station, in Zakamск, in the Khokhlovka ethnographic museum and in Krasnokamsk. According to the governor, in 2026, new piers are planned to be installed in Dobryanka, Osa and Ilyinsky.

The Perm shipyard created modular piers from floating structures. The shipyard, founded by the Perm Territory Development Fund and the Emperium Group, resumed operations in 2021. Since April 2023, the company has become a resident of the Perm Special Economic Zone. The shipyard is also participating in a federal project to improve labor productivity.
