Wildberries has opened its first Smart Pickup Point – a fully automated order delivery location. The Wildberries & Russ press service reported that entry to the point is only possible with a placed order: to enter, you need to scan a QR code from the app, and then rescan the QR code at the terminal to open the cell with your order.
Inside the Smart Pickup Point, there are several fitting rooms. If the order doesn't fit, the customer can refuse the item and return it to the cell – they have one hour to do so.
The company stated that the new format allows for reducing operational costs and offers customers a modern shopping experience.
The new pickup point is located at: Moscow, Novodanilovskaya embankment, 12. It is open 24/7.
Some marketplace customers can already place orders to the Smart Pickup Point. However, the dimensions of the order must not exceed 35×45×38 cm, and the cost must not exceed 25,000 rubles.
