The "Radioelectronic Technologies" Concern (KRET, part of Rostec) presented a working prototype of the "Anestec" anesthesia machine at the Innoprom-2025 industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg. This is the first Russian device of its kind, according to the state corporation's press service.
"Anestec" is designed for inhalation anesthesia (anesthetic is delivered through the patient's lungs) and controlled/assisted mechanical ventilation. The device automatically adjusts to the patient's breathing, regulating the strength and volume of air supply.
Features of the "Anestec" anesthesia machine:
▪️ servo-controlled respiratory volume generator
▪️ active exhaust gas evacuation system
▪️ heated respiratory flow recirculation
The device can be installed in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) rooms. It is also suitable for use during surgical operations requiring MRI to monitor the process.
Rostec's press service added that the product has passed factory tests and is being prepared for clinical trials. Mass production of "Anestec" is scheduled for 2026.
