The modular platform of the "Atom" electric vehicle allows creating cars of various sizes and with different types of drive, the developers announced at the "Innoprom" exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
The platform is the first Russian electric vehicle platform developed from scratch, and not converted from internal combustion engines. Thanks to the modularity of the platform, it is possible to expand the wheelbase and thus create cars of different sizes.
The "Atom" platform allows installing all-wheel drive and equipping cars with hybrid power plants, although there are no specific developments in these areas yet.
The main current task of the team is to bring the basic version of the "Atom" electric vehicle to the market, but there are plans to expand the model range. Currently, consumer demand is being studied with the help of focus groups to understand exactly which cars customers expect. In the future, it is planned to produce more models.
