Chemical tanker "Volgotrans-2502" starts sea trials in the Volgograd Reservoir

The RST-25/7 project vessel meets international standards for the transportation of petroleum products

The chemical tanker "Volgotrans-2502" (RST-25/7 project), which is being built at the "Lotos" production site, has started its sea trials program. This was reported by the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).

Experts will assess the vessel's speed and maneuvering characteristics, and determine the nominal consumption of fuel and oil. They will check the operation of the cooling systems during the voyage.

At various depths in the Volgograd Reservoir, a demonstration drop and raising of anchors will be carried out, as well as alarm signals and procedures for leaving the chemical tanker in an emergency situation using duty and rescue boats will be practiced

The tanker with 6 cargo tanks is designed for the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products. The vessel meets international standards.
