A supersonic MiG-25 aircraft, named after Hero of the Soviet Union Valentin Sugrin, was spotted on the highway near Voronezh. The interceptor was transported by tractor to the Museum of Soviet and Russian Aviation in Borshchevo.
The aircraft performed over 40 reconnaissance sorties during the counter-terrorism operation in Chechnya.
MiG-25 is a legendary именной board, which can now be counted on the fingers.
The plane was located at the training ground for a long time and served as a target for training. Representatives of the museum managed to negotiate with the Ministry of Defense and the MiG-25 was transferred to the museum.

The aircraft was developed at OKB-155. The MiG-25 was produced in two versions: a reconnaissance bomber and an interceptor. The first was in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces until 2013, the second until the mid-90s.
