Stavropol and Novorossiysk paratroopers began to master the serial belt-fed light machine gun RPL-20. This was reported in the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The machine gun surpasses its predecessor, the RPKS-74, and was refined based on the recommendations of the airborne assault units.
The RPL-20 was manufactured in a "multicam" color scheme, which is used for the first time in the production of small arms. This decision became a necessity for maximum camouflage of military personnel and their weapons in various conditions of combat operations.
The machine gun was developed in two versions: with barrel lengths of 415 mm (for assault units) and 590 mm (general-purpose version), the RPL-20 is compatible with a wide range of accessories and additional equipment.
