More than half of Russians would like to have a voice assistant in their car to control multimedia

Alice allows you to interact with navigation, music and calls hands-free, but it is not supported in all cars

Avto.ru, together with Yandex Auto, conducted a survey among drivers. It turned out that more than 60% of motorists would prefer to control the functions of their cars using voice commands. The survey results show that most drivers see the future of automotive technology in voice control, despite the proliferation of touch screens.

Interestingly, the attitude to touchscreens turned out to be mixed. More than 75% of respondents highly appreciated the convenience of using them, but basic functions, such as climate control and audio system, require accuracy and are often used while driving, which can distract drivers from the road.

The transition to voice control is becoming a natural step in the development of automotive interfaces. Drivers note that the use of voice assistants makes system management easier and safer, allowing them to keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel.

The introduction of virtual assistants, such as Alice in Yandex Auto, allows you to control navigation, music and calls without having to interact with the screen. This meets the requirements of users and helps to improve road safety.

According to Avto.ru, by June 2025, almost 90% of ads for the sale of new cars mention the presence of touch screens. At the same time, about 40% of cars are equipped with blind spot monitoring systems and adaptive cruise control, and voice control is available in about 35% of models, although its use is not yet so widespread.
