The company "Evolution of Marine Digital Technologies" (EMDT) has announced the receipt of a Type Approval Certificate from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) for its development — the Pro-Mariner Radar 5000 radar system. This confirms that the system meets the strict safety and functionality requirements for modern ship equipment.
Pro-Mariner Radar 5000 is a solution that combines radar scanning with electronic navigation charts in a single interface. This integration improves the accuracy of navigation, especially in conditions of poor visibility or complex terrain. The device supports operation in the X- and S-bands, which allows detecting objects at different distances, and its resistance to temperatures down to -55°C makes it suitable for use in Arctic latitudes.
According to Vladimir Ponomarev, Development Director of EMDT, RMRS certification opens the way for equipping vessels of various classes, including icebreakers and high-speed vessels, with the radar.
We expect feedback from navigators and plan further functional development of the system to reduce the load on the crew even in the most difficult navigation conditions in various regions of our country.
EMDT continues to improve its integrated navigation system, introducing artificial intelligence technologies to analyze the navigation situation and predict possible hazards. A special place in the work is occupied by the creation of cloud services for remote monitoring and mathematical data processing, including information received from ship radars.
