Two Giant Prominences Erupted on the Sun

The cosmic event occurred against the backdrop of a completely calm state of the star

Today, July 3, 2025, an impressive event occurred on the Sun — two giant prominences simultaneously rushed into space. The right eruption was particularly prominent, almost surpassing the Sun itself in size at its peak. This phenomenon was recorded against the backdrop of an overall decrease in solar activity.

According to observatories, the right prominence was observed on the solar disk for a week, and if its eruption had occurred earlier, Earth could have faced powerful geomagnetic disturbances. However, now the plasma cloud is moving towards Venus, which it will reach tomorrow. The left eruption is heading towards Mars and will be in its vicinity on July 6.

Earlier, www1.ru reported on a new model for predicting solar activity.
