The Russian Geran-3 kamikaze drone with a turbojet engine is comparable in power to cruise missiles. This was stated by retired Colonel, military expert Viktor Baranets.
According to him, the drone's cruising speed reaches 550-600 km/h, and when diving at a target, the device accelerates to 700 km/h. These figures are three times higher than the speed of the Geran-2, which significantly complicates the interception of the drone by anti-aircraft artillery.
The Geran-3 has a power comparable to a cruise missile. This allows it to hit fortified objects - bunkers, command posts and industrial buildings.
The weight of the drone increased to 380 kg compared to 250 kg for the Geran-2, and the weight of the warhead became 6 times larger - up to 300 kg versus 50 kg for its predecessor.
