The newest Russian drone "Geran-3", unlike its predecessor, is capable of autonomously performing combat missions without the participation of an operator. This was stated by retired Colonel, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk.
According to him, the control system and homing head have been changed in the "Geran-3". If the "Geran-2" was susceptible to electronic interference and could be suppressed by electronic warfare equipment, then the "Geran-3" received an autonomous circuit.
In fact, it is programming by terrain points. That is, even when the control system is completely disconnected from the operator, the "Geran-3" performs the task according to the points programmed before launch. It is practically not susceptible to interference and performs the task independently of the operator, autonomously.
Earlier www1.ru reported that details about the new Russian ballistic missile have appeared.
