Добровольно, не принудительно: сдача биометрических данных остается необязательной

Head of the Information Policy Committee: the law prohibits discrimination against those who refuse such a procedure

Submitting biometric data remains voluntary. The law prohibits discrimination against those who refuse this procedure. This statement was made by the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Sergei Boyarsky.

There is a spread of rumors online about the allegedly mandatory registration of biometrics, which the Ministry of Digital Development plans to introduce. I would like to provide clarification from my side: submitting biometrics remains a voluntary procedure. Other claims on this matter are false.
Sergei Boyarsky, Deputy of the State Duma

Any, even indirect, coercion to submit biometric data is prohibited.

Everyone who has submitted biometric data to the Unified Biometric System (UBS) can delete it through the "Gosuslugi" portal, the deputy added. He urged people to be attentive to incoming information and not to believe in provocations.
