Karacharovo Mechanical Plant and the "Moskvich" brand presented a new elevator car at the Russian Elevator Week 2025 exhibition. This is the result of the companies' joint work, said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport and Industry.
High-tech Moscow enterprises are not only successfully coping with import substitution, but also developing unique products. The collaboration between KMZ and the "Moskvich" brand has made it possible to create an innovative elevator car that repeats the contours of the "Moskvich" car interior and combines the achievements of the Moscow automotive industry and elevator construction.
The new car is finished with glossy panels in gray and black. The elevator is equipped with a 24-inch screen, a touch panel with the "Moskvich" engraving, and ceiling LED lighting.
This is a real business class elevator.
The mechanisms are suitable for buildings up to 64 floors high. They can withstand loads up to 630 kilograms and move at a speed of 4 meters per second.
Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia reported that almost 90% of elevator equipment in the country is produced at domestic factories. There are government programs in place to support Russian companies.
