Two key players in the field of domestic software development — Avroid and Giperus — have filed for their own bankruptcy. Total debt to creditors exceeded 2.3 billion rubles, reports CNews.
Avroid specialized in developing applications for the mobile OS Aurora, and Giperus specialized in creating hyperconverged systems similar to Nutanix, which was considered a strategic direction for import substitution. Both companies were part of the Strigo Capital investment fund, founded in 2024 to support high-tech projects in the field of domestic operating systems, storage systems, and virtualization.
According to employees, delays in salary payments and office closures began after the investor left and negotiations with new ones failed. Attempts to restructure the debt were unsuccessful. A legal procedure for declaring insolvency is now underway.
