"You sit as if molded into the seat": First Deputy Prime Minister Manturov assesses the ergonomics of Lada Azimut

Manturov stated that he feels comfortable in the car despite his height

First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov sat behind the wheel of the first ever AvtoVAZ crossover, Lada Azimut, and shared his impressions of the car.

With my dimensions (190 cm height), I am very comfortable. I always pay attention to the position of the steering wheel and the instrument panel – it is not obstructed. The seating position is comfortable – the lumbar support is adjustable, the headrest is close to the head, you sit as if molded into the seat.
Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

The presentation of the Lada Azimut crossover took place at SPIEF-2025 on June 18. When creating the Lada Azimut, designers were inspired by the Zhiguli and Ural Mountains, as well as the architecture of constructivism.

In its initial configuration, the Lada Azimut will be equipped with modernized 1.6 and 1.8 liter engines, with a capacity of 120 and 132 horsepower respectively, as well as a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. In the future, a turbocharged version with a capacity of 150 hp and a classic automatic transmission is planned.
