The domestic 224-horsepower frame SUV with Toyota roots, which will be assembled at UAZ, the new Sollers ST9, was presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025. The prototype pickup, previously spotted in spy shots, was shown as part of the business exposition. The novelty stands out with its powerful technical equipment and modern design.
The design of the Sollers ST9 uses engineering solutions borrowed from the Japanese Toyota. In particular, the model shares common roots with the Toyota Hilux: the frame and front suspension are unified with elements used in the Land Cruiser.
The pickup is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 224 hp, an 8-speed "automatic" transmission, and all-wheel drive. The interior is made in a business style with leather trim and red stitching, a vertical media display, an electronic transmission selector, and a digital instrument panel. Externally, the car features an aggressive appearance, black arch extensions, and reinforced body protection.
Production of the Sollers ST9 will begin at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in the third quarter of 2025. Production will be organized in a full cycle: with welding, painting, and final assembly. The model is adapted to Russian operating conditions due to its high ground clearance and energy-intensive suspension.
