AI Will Replace Humans in Simple Tasks Within the Next Five Years, Yandex Predicts

Neural networks will be able to perform routine functions, freeing up time for more complex tasks

In the next five years, neural networks will learn to perform simple cognitive tasks related to interactions between people, such as calling kindergartens or communicating with car dealership clients. This was stated by businessman and Yandex representative Tigran Khudaverdyan during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

According to him, AI has already learned to cope with tasks that are difficult to algorithmize, and can generate and understand human desires. As an example, Khudaverdyan cited choosing a kindergarten for a child. According to the businessman, in the future, users will be able to instruct AI to call kindergartens, find out the conditions, and provide recommendations for choosing.

In addition, he mentioned the emergence of AI agents — programs that will execute algorithmic commands and interact with the real world.

Kindergartens will have AI agents; a person won't pick up the phone there, and car dealerships also won't have a girl picking up the phone and connecting you with a sales manager anymore. These will all be AI agents

According to Khudaverdyan, the versatility of AI will allow it to be implemented in all areas, which will lead to significant changes in various industries.
