The Russian market is experiencing a shortage of Russian-assembled Hyundai Solaris HS (produced under the Solaris brand) with prices exceeding 2 million rubles. As it turns out, these cars are currently not being produced in Russia. All cars at dealerships are remaining stock from 2024.
This decision was made to avoid competition between the Solaris HS and the Kia Rio sedan, which is also available on the market under the name Solaris KRS. Unlike the Solaris HS, the availability of the Solaris KRS at dealerships does not pose any problems, making it a more attractive option for buyers.
Solaris models with manual transmissions, for which prices have been reduced, are and have been available at dealerships – these are KRS sedans (Kia Rio Sedan) and KRX cross-hatchbacks (Kia Rio X). With 1.6 engines in Comfort and Luxe versions, they cost less than 2 million rubles. These cars are available at the Smolensk dealer of GC Octan Solaris, and they are also available at other locations. Specifically in Smolensk, they report an additional 25-35 thousand on top for extras, but they give a direct discount of 40 thousand – as a result, the KRS in the basic Comfort version here costs 1,954,000 with a MSRP of 1,960,000, the KRX in the mid-range Luxe AV is sold for 1,966,000 with a MSRP of 1,980,000
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the AGR group celebrated the production of the 30,000th Solaris brand car at its plant in St. Petersburg.
