Governor Vladimirov: An industrial park "KAMAZ-Master" may be created on the basis of the plant.

The "Stavropol Avto" plant, where Great Wall SUVs were assembled, has been acquired by individual entrepreneur Vladimir Arustamov from Kalmykia. He offered 2.25 billion rubles for the plant.

Earlier, insiders reported that the enterprise allegedly actually belongs to Rostec, through structures associated with the state corporation. Later, more accurate information appeared: Arustamov supposedly has connections with Rostech through JSC "Tekhnodinamika". It is still not reported what products are planned to be produced at the plant.

The enterprise encountered serious problems after co-owner Khadzhi-Murat Derev was under investigation in 2018. The businessman fled abroad, and the plant's assets were put up for sale. Attempts to sell the enterprise were unsuccessful: in 2021, they tried to sell the plant for 4.3 billion rubles, but there was not a single application.

The Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, mentioned intentions to create an industrial park "KAMAZ-Master" on the basis of the plant. After the change of ownership, he expressed hope for productive cooperation and development of the plant.
