Owners of new Lada Vesta vehicles with the "Start/Stop" engine start button have encountered incorrect system operation.
AvtoVAZ has acknowledged the problem and reported that it is working to eliminate it, and in the meantime has offered a temporary solution.
Currently, the car can only be started with an active key, which is valid for 45 seconds after pressing the unlock button. If the engine is not started during this time, you must reactivate the key. The key slot does not work — even with a tag in the cabin, the car will not start after 45 seconds.
Instructions have already been sent to dealers so that they can explain to owners the reason for the "unexpected" inoperability of the system. The company apologizes for the inconvenience and promises to refine the system.
