Leak Eliminated: Roscosmos Completes Sealing of the "Zvezda" Module's Transfer Chamber on the ISS

Mission Control Center Confirms Complete Absence of Leaks in the Russian Segment

The air leak in the Russian segment of the ISS has been eliminated, Roscosmos reported.

The sealing phase of the "Zvezda" service module's transfer chamber has been completed. According to the Mission Control Center, there are no air leaks in the Russian segment of the International Space Station.

The leak problem in the intermediate chamber of the "Zvezda" module was identified in September 2019. Over the years, attempts have been made to eliminate it, but they only yielded partial results.

After sealing in June 2025, tests showed a complete cessation of air leakage for the first time since the fault was discovered.
