Three new 2TE25KM diesel locomotives for BaltTransService delivered to BMZ

The locomotive fleet of the largest operator of railway transportation of oil cargoes is being updated

Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (BMZ) has completed the delivery of three main freight diesel locomotives 2TE25KM for BaltTransService, one of the leading operators in the field of railway transportation of oil cargoes. The locomotives were sent to their place of operation in late May - early June 2025.

This year, BaltTransService plans to update its locomotive fleet by adding ten new diesel locomotives from BMZ. Three of them have already been delivered, and the remaining seven will be handed over to the customer in the fall.

BaltTransService already uses 2TE25KM series diesel locomotives, having previously purchased ten such locomotives in 2019. The devices have been manufactured at BMZ since 2014 and are entirely made of domestic components.

Operators note the high reliability of the locomotives, their comfort for crew work, and their ability to function effectively in difficult climatic conditions. The diesel locomotives are also distinguished by their simplicity and ease of maintenance due to the easy accessibility of the main components and the manufacturability of the design.
