"Kalashnikov" Developed an Innovative Sight for Detecting ALCM Cruise Missiles and RQ-7 Shadow Drones

JSC LOMO (part of the Kalashnikov concern) has completed a component of the development work to create the latest 1PN146 and 1OP84 sights.

The products are designed to detect and track aerial targets and enable firing at them from man-portable air defense systems (MANPADS) of air defense (AD).

The weight of the night vision device is no more than 1.55 kg. The operating temperature range is from -50 to +55°C. The transition time from the stowed position to readiness for operation is no more than 60 seconds.

The target detection range using both sights under specified conditions is at least 6 km for an RQ-7 Shadow unmanned aerial vehicle and an ALCM cruise missile, at least 9 km for AH-64 and UH-1 helicopters, and at least 12 km for F-15, F-16, F-22, F-35, A-10A aircraft. Currently, LOMO is working on preparing the products for mass production, starting in 2025.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a new Rodnik 3D radar was created for the military, but it is not capable of detecting small drones.
