At the "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" conference in Nizhny Novgorod, the general director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov, revealed details of the large-scale national project " рассвет ". It is planned to launch 886 satellites to provide broadband Internet. It also provides for the creation of 114 satellites for remote sensing of the Earth.
Experimental missions " рассвет -1" and " рассвет -2" have already been successfully launched in 2023 and 2024, which became the basis for further development of the project. It is expected that by 2027, when commercial operation of the satellites begins, 288 of them will provide global coverage, which will significantly improve access to the Internet for the population and business.
Thus, the " рассвет " project will not only strengthen Russia's position in the field of space technologies, but also create new opportunities for the digitalization of the economy and improving the quality of life of citizens.
