In June 2025, AvtoVAZ plans to produce 80 Lada Aura cars at once - previously, only a few were produced. According to insiders, this sharp increase is due to the possible sale of cars under a government contract.
Previously, the production of Lada Aura was limited to single units, and although in the fall of 2024 the plan reached 30-60 cars per day, the produced cars lay in dealers' warehouses for a long time, sometimes for six months, without finding buyers. Insiders note that despite high production plans - up to 8,000 cars, sales remain an open question.
Lada Aura is sold not only in Russia, but also in Belarus. However, the competition in the business sedan market is strong: for example, the Geely Preface with a more powerful engine and rich equipment costs less.
In Russia, Lada Aura is presented in two trim levels - Premier and Status, with prices of 2.6 and 2.8 million rubles, respectively. The car is equipped with a 1.8-liter 122-horsepower engine and a Chinese WLY variator.
