In June 2025, AvtoVAZ plans to produce 80 Lada Aura cars at once — previously, only a few were produced. According to insiders, this sharp increase is due to the possible sale of cars under a government contract.
Previously, the production of Lada Aura was limited to single units, and although in the fall of 2024 the plan reached 30–60 cars per day, the produced cars lay in dealers' warehouses for a long time, sometimes for six months, without finding buyers. Insiders note that despite the high production plans — up to 8 thousand cars, sales still remain an open question.
Lada Aura is sold not only in Russia, but also in Belarus. However, the competition in the business sedan market is strong: for example, the Geely Preface with a more powerful engine and richer equipment costs less.
In Russia, Lada Aura is presented in two trim levels — Premier and Status, with prices of 2.6 and 2.8 million rubles, respectively. The car is equipped with a 1.8-liter 122-horsepower engine and a Chinese WLY variator.
