Unique prototype of satellite communication station for UAV monitoring created in Russia

The platform is capable of collecting data on drones and satellites in the sky

Specialists from Reshetnev University in Krasnoyarsk have developed a prototype of a unique ground-based mobile satellite communication station "Orbita M-Kompleks". The station is capable of creating mobile access points in remote areas, collecting data from drones and satellites in the sky.

The developed complex is designed to become one of the elements of the state initiative "Seamless Sky" and fill the vacant niche of affordable domestic solutions for education and science in the field of satellite communications and monitoring.

The station prototype solves several tasks at once - collecting and monitoring data from drones and satellites, creating mobile communication access points in remote locations for search and rescue, environmental and other operations.

The prototype compares favorably with expensive imported counterparts - the cost is 3-5 times lower with full coverage of the range of 1 MHz - 6 GHz, the availability of Russian-language software, educational and methodological kit and local technical support. Now developers are conducting field and laboratory tests of the prototype.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the first footage of the Russian combat laser air defense system has appeared.
