Russia has developed the S-70 heavy strike UAV "Okhotnik," which can work in tandem with the Su-57 fighter jet. Render photos of the new model have surfaced online.
The characteristics of the "Okhotnik" are officially unknown. Open sources speculate that the "Okhotnik" has a length of 14 m, a take-off weight of 25 tons, and a wingspan of 19 m. The aircraft is developed according to the "flying wing" scheme using materials and technologies that reduce its radar and thermal signature.
The S-70 has a flight range of 5,000 km, and at low altitude, the "Okhotnik" is capable of developing a supersonic speed of 1,400 km/h. The S-70 is capable of climbing to a height of up to 18 km.
It was also assumed that the "Okhotnik" could receive a Kh-58 supersonic anti-radar air-to-surface missile with a range of 280 km to destroy enemy radars. Against targets at sea, a low-altitude subsonic X-35 missile.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that "Uralvagonzavod" announced an all-Russian vote for a new name for the BMPT "Terminator".
