Несколько наград на всероссийском конкурсе получил Чепецкий механический завод

The plant in Glazov received awards for dynamic business development and human resources development

Chepetsky Mechanical Plant (ChMP) became the winner of the All-Russian competition "Flagships of Business: Dynamics, Responsibility, Sustainability-2024", organized by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The enterprise, which is part of Rosatom's Fuel Division, received awards in two categories: "For Dynamic Business Development" and "For Human Resources Development".

Over the past six years, the company's revenue has almost doubled, and productivity has increased by 38% in three years. Investments in modernization have quadrupled the average annual level of previous years. The plant is actively updating its production facilities, having reconstructed more than 1 hectare of area and purchased about 100 units of modern equipment. The main focus is on the production of materials from zirconium, titanium and calcium, which are used in nuclear energy, shipbuilding, aviation, metallurgy and medicine.

One of the key areas has been the development of import-substituting products. For example, ChMP has launched the production of titanium powders for 3D printing, used in the creation of medical implants and instruments for the treatment of fractures. The plant is also expanding the production of strontium, previously imported, to improve the characteristics of aluminum alloys. In 2023, work began on creating a separate section for the production of strontium. In addition, ChMP has introduced an automated complex with neural networks to control the quality of zirconium nuclear fuel cladding.

Every year, ChMP invests more than 20 million rubles in employee training, offering about 100 professional training programs. The company has obtained a license for educational activities, which allows it to train workers directly at the production site. As part of the federal project "Professionalitet", ChMP cooperates with the Glazov Polytechnic College, where the first graduation of specialists will take place in 2025. Together with the Glazov Engineering and Pedagogical University, the department "Metallurgy. Materials Technology" has been opened, where the educational process is built taking into account the needs of the plant.

Winning in two categories at once is a recognition of the correctness of the chosen strategy for the development of the enterprise and the efforts of the entire team in its implementation. We set new records every year, master new products. Participation in solving complex production tasks gives each of our employees the opportunity to unlock their potential. Implementing high-tech projects, the team of Chepetsky Mechanical Plant helps to ensure the industrial sovereignty of the country with their daily and responsible work.
Sergey Chineykin, General Director of JSC "Chepetsky Mechanical Plant"

The "Flagships of Business" competition brought together more than 200 companies from all over Russia, demonstrating the best practices of sustainable development. Founded in 1946, ChMP was originally created as a strategic enterprise for the nuclear industry. Today, it remains the only manufacturer of zirconium products in Russia and a leading supplier of titanium, niobium and hafnium.
