At the MSITF-2025 defense technology festival in Uzbekistan, a modernized version of the famous Soviet T-64B tank was presented. The combat vehicle may have been redesigned with the assistance of South Korean companies.
The main difference between the vehicle and the basic T-64B is the Doosan DP222LC diesel engine with a power of 950 hp and new composite armor.
The new power unit was installed instead of the 5TD engine with a power of 700 hp. The tank also received an automatic transmission. The 40-ton vehicle reaches speeds of up to 65 km/h.
The basic T-64B began production in 1976. The vehicle is armed with a 125 mm 2A46M-2 smoothbore gun and machine guns. The tank's protection is provided by multi-layer armor made of fiberglass and steel.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the use of half-century-old Grad MLRS has been completely rethought: new approaches to combat work.
