Rosatom to Continue Preparing Power Units for Launch in Bangladesh and Turkey in 2025

State Corporation Plans to Promote Small Nuclear Power Plant Projects

The State Corporation Rosatom will continue working on the commissioning of several power units in Bangladesh and Turkey, as well as the launch of a research reactor in Bolivia in 2025. This is stated in Atomenergoprom's report for 2024.

The interest of customers in the energy market is shifting towards flexible solutions in terms of generation volume and financing. Rosatom will focus on promoting small nuclear power plants and plans to reach new agreements on projects with countries in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

The State Corporation is also working on entering new markets in the field of energy storage. Projects for strategic partnerships and the supply of energy storage devices to countries in Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, as well as Nigeria, India, and South Africa are under development.
