Detailed footage of the operation of the highly mobile combat laser complex of the mobile air defense group from the "Kochevnik" special forces unit has been published online.
Judging by the objective control footage, the laser complex, controlled by gearless drives based on torque motors, has a power of about 25 kW and is equipped with both a thermal imaging and television guidance module, and an X- or Ka-band radar.
Previously, there was an opinion in the domestic information environment that combat lasers are expensive and useless toys.
However, new threats have forced the search for alternative methods of counteraction. Thanks to the development of new technologies, laser systems have become an effective tool for destroying unmanned aerial vehicles.
