AvtoVAZ is preparing to release an updated Lada Granta. The car will receive a CVT.
Last week, 2 prototypes of the Lada Granta car, equipped with a 106 hp engine and a CVT, rolled off the assembly line. The first steps in the chain of putting a new version of the car into production have been taken.
Previously, CVTs from the Chinese manufacturer WanLiYang were installed on Lada Vesta, Aura, and Iskra models. They were used as a replacement for the Japanese Jatco transmissions that had left the Russian market.
AvtoVAZ previously produced Lada Granta only with a 5-speed "mechanics" or an AMT robotic gearbox. It is not yet known when the two-pedal models will go on sale.
Earlier www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ launched sales of comfortable Lada Granta Club and Quest.
