Rostec enterprises have sufficient capacity to replace outdated TV2-117 helicopter engines with modern VK-2500, the state corporation's press service said.
The United Engine Corporation (UEC) is currently mass-producing its own line of VK-2500 engines. Rostec enterprises have sufficient capacity to replace outdated TV2-117s with modern VK-2500s, Rostec noted.
New materials and technologies are used in the production of the modern VK-2500 engine. The engines are certified, have increased reliability and efficiency, and meet modern safety requirements.
Russia has also created conditions for the service and repair of a range of common helicopter engines, including the TV3-117 engines previously manufactured by the Motor Sich aerospace company.
There are no problems with the repair of these engines and the provision of necessary spare parts. Applications from helicopter operators for work on TV3-117 engines are carried out accurately and on time, the state corporation added.
