Tver Carriage Works (TVZ, part of TMH) has certified the model 61-4533 single-deck passenger compartment car. This is the first T-gauge car in the passenger segment, which differs from the existing rolling stock of Russian Railways.
The bodies of the new car are made without protruding corrugations, and the dimensions are increased by 730 mm in length and 280 mm in width. This made it possible to improve the level of service and comfort for passengers, as well as increase capacity.
The new car has one more compartment than previous models. Among the innovations is a children's compartment with thematic design and an enlarged sleeping area. The exterior and interior of the car are made in an original design.
The compartments are equipped with tables with built-in chargers, a temperature control system, individual folding tables for tablets and laptops located on the upper shelves, and other amenities.
Russian Railways plans to launch 38 new enlarged cars in the fall of 2025. They will start running on the Moscow - St. Petersburg route.
