Special IGLA anti-UAV cartridges penetrate them to the motherboard. This was stated by a representative of the development company, which is part of Rostec, on the sidelines of the MILEX 2025 arms exhibition in Belarus.
When hit, the screws and the battery are also damaged, and the shot can pass through the frame. There have been precedents when drones smoked and caught fire after being hit.
According to him, the striking elements in the cartridge consist of an alloy of tungsten, nickel and iron. These metals make the shot harder and heavier in order to inflict maximum damage. In addition, the shot flies more accurately, reducing the spread when firing.
Rostec presented a line of special cartridges for hitting small UAVs at the MILEX 2025 exhibition. These include IGLA 30, 50, 100 and Tracer 75. All cartridges are being tested in real combat conditions.
