Fraudsters no longer need the phrase "safe account." They have come up with dozens of new names to deceive Russians. This was reported by the Department for Organizing the Fight Against Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Fraudsters use psychological techniques to force the victim to transfer money to a supposedly "safe account." However, after repeated use by criminals, the expression lost its original meaning. Attackers have come up with dozens of synonyms to mislead Russians.
Here are some of them:
Cryptocurrency. Attackers convince victims that their money is protected by blockchain.
Declarative. The account is supposedly needed to control funds before a search.
Secret. Fraudsters convince that access to it is impossible, because the account is not reflected in the banking system.
Backup. Fraudsters recommend using this account "during the inspection."
Special. Fraudsters convince their victims that an account opened specifically for them is protected.
Transportation. It supposedly ensures the security of the transfer of funds.
All these accounts are just fraudsters' accounts, and the only truly safe one is your account.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that recently, fraudsters have been actively using the "Gosuslugi" portal to post fake documents. As a result, users mistakenly believe that they are financing terrorist organizations and become victims of deception.
