Fraudsters are lulling Russians into a false sense of security: instead of a "safe account," they have started using new wording

Attackers resort to psychological tricks to make the victim believe in the need to transfer money

Fraudsters no longer need the expression "safe account." They have come up with dozens of new names to deceive Russians. This was reported by the Department for Organizing the Fight against Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Fraudsters use psychological techniques to force the victim to transfer money to a supposedly "safe account." However, after repeated use by criminals, the expression lost its original meaning. Attackers have come up with dozens of synonyms to mislead Russians.

Here are some of them:

Cryptocurrency. Attackers convince victims that their money is protected by blockchain.

Declarative. The account is supposedly needed to control funds before a search.

Secret. Fraudsters convince that access to it is impossible, because the account is not reflected in the banking system.

Backup. Fraudsters recommend using this account "for the duration of the audit."

Special. Fraudsters convince their victims that a protected account opened specifically for them.

Transportation. It supposedly ensures the safety of the transfer of funds.

All these accounts are just fraud accounts, and the only truly safe one is your account.
